About Dr. Muneera Haji, O.D.
About Us
Dr. Muneera Haji gradutated from the University of Waterloo in 2007, where she completed both her Bachelors of Science and her Doctor of Optometry.
In her third year, Muneera was chosen to participate with a group of students on a vision mission in Chile and Peru. This unforgettable experience enabled her to use her skills to give back to the less fortunate.
In her final year she did an externship at Parkland Hospital in Dallas, Texas. Here she was exposed to the specialty clinic of Glaucoma, Retina and Cataract surgery.
She currently works in private practice with Dr. Rana Taji, a Toronto optometrist and dry eye specialist as well as Dr. Dale Gray, a Toronto ophthalmologist specializing in glaucoma. Working in this practice since 2008 has given her the opportunity to see a great variety of patients;
Muneera also conducts comprehensive eye exams at various nursing homes on a weekly basis. She started this geriatric side of her practice in 2008 and continues to find it very rewarding.
She has embraced the opportunity to educate the future generation by volunteering to speak to kindergarten classes about eye health and eye protection.
In her leisure time Muneera loves to swim, bike and spend time with her husband and two young children.
